Mexican Institute of Sound & Meridian Brothers — Ruido Tovar

Meridian Brothers and Mexican Institute of Sound have released their new collaborative album 'Ruido Tovar.’ Rooted in Mexican tropical music of the late 1970s and early 1980s, it’s out now on Ansonia Records. Shepherded by neotropical and post-cumbia heavyweights Eblis Alvarez and Camilo Lara, Ruido Tovar explores and expands upon the giant leap in sound that occurred when Mexican musicians shifted from traditional instruments to synthesizers.
