Spanning just a minute, the the video stars Eyedress, face fully bleeding as he drinks a soda, skates, talks on the phone, and generally fucks around outside, ending with him appearing dead, arms across his body as he slides across the screen laying atop his board. WATCH – Brother Ali “Sensitive” + Exclusive 7 Inch Vinyl

October 26th, 2018

ICYMI – Brother Ali just released his new track “Sensitive”.

“‘Sensitive’ deals with the reality that artists are often times faced with self doubt and a deep sense that the world isn’t hearing us as we’d like to be heard. This one was made at a time when I’d taken too long to release new music, had medical trouble with my voice and felt like I’d alienated fans with my political statements. Typical ‘tortured artist’ vibe that not many people talk about in Hip-Hop, but we all experience it on one level or another.” – Brother Ali

“Sensitive” is also available on limited, hand-numbered 7-inch vinyl, along with exclusive shirts, only at Fifth Element! Hurry, they won’t last long!

NEW MUSIC – NPR Premiers Lawrence Rothman’s “Decade”

October 19th, 2018

Lawrence Rothman recently released the new single and video for the track “Oath”, and last week NPR premiered the beautiful and brutal video for his new song “Decade”. Lawrence has an aesthetic that matches him sonically: Androgynous modern/dirty art wrapped up in a desert landscape and a guaranteed smoke machine. This is, in part, thanks to having a brilliant collaborative partner in director Floria Sigismondi (The Runaways, The Handmaid’s Tale) who has directed many of the NPR Slingshot artist’s videos. “Decade” is the first track from an upcoming mini-album, I Know I’ve Been Wrong, But Can We Talk. – NPR
