Comedian/actor Bob Odenkirk, who among other things, you may know as Saul from Breaking Bad, is into music too, and he’s just given his album of the year endorsement to Canadian singer/songwriter Basia Bulat for her newest, Tall Tall Shadow. If you haven’t heard the album yet, stream it HERE.
T Hardy Morris of Dead Confederate joins the folks at WUAG’s ‘Just Off The Radar’ for an in-studio session & interview about his solo album ‘Audition Tapes’. Check out the session HERE.
London-based electronic producer Tourist, (aka Will Philips) has steadily earned the reputation of being one of the next big names in dance music. Known for creating emotive, slightly swampy remixes for Haim and Sharon Van Etten, Tourist was recently signed to Disclosure’s new label. Check out his set from Mountain Oasis 2013 in Asheville, N.C HERE. You can also catch him on the road when he returns to the US for a short December tour. Check out the dates below.

It’s been 17 years between albums for the Bay Area alt-rap duo Latyrx. Oakland-born Lateef Daumont is a Black Panther’s son who raps as Lateef the Truthspeaker, while Tokyo-born Tom Shimura, a banker’s son, raps as Lyrics Born. In 1996, they collaborated on The Album, a gorgeous and contemplative record. Then, they went their solo ways for almost two decades. Now, finally, they’ve brought forth what is hands-down the alt-rap album of the year. Read the full story at NPR.org.
