Welsh rock band Los Campesinos! dropped by the Grand Street Recording Studio, while on tour the US to support their latest album, ‘No Blues.’ While there, they were able to perform for the ninth installment of Brooklyn Vegan‘s BV Studio Sessions. They played ‘Cemetery Gaits‘ and ‘What Death Leaves Behind,’ both from the new album. Check it out:
Seattle rapper, Grieves, returns to deliver his fourth studio album, Winter & The Wolves. The insatiable, devil-may-care MC is well known for his meticulous exploration of life, love and loss, through a unique medley of hip-hop and soulful music. Together with B. Lewis, Grieves has created 14 new tracks, combining organic pianos and guitars with boisterous synthesizers, to paint a colorful backdrop for his unique blend of rapping and singing. “Vintage Soul Songstress” Jessica Childress has just released a full stream of her upcoming EP ‘Don’t Forget My Name‘ on music and entertainment blog Vibe. Our very good friends at Pitchfork have just put up a full stream of Illum Sphere‘s debut album ‘Ghosts Of Then And Now.’ His style ranges from electronic to hip-hop to techno, and this album is an excellent display of Illum’s versatile skills. The Ninja Tune artist (real name Ryan Hunn) is also co-owner to the Manchester nightclub Hoya:Hoya, where many other large electronic artists have played. Quantic (aka Will Holland) released his video for his first single ‘Duvido‘ AND dropped his album, ‘Magnetica,’ which sees Quantic revisiting his electronic roots, blending cutting edge and distinctive production with elements of folk, reggae, soul, highlife, cumbia and more. ‘Magnetica’ is the first studio album from Quantic under his main solo moniker since ‘An Announcement To Answer’ in 2006 so the anticipation is running high.
