In 2016 Trevor Powers, the mind behind the neo-psychedelic project, Youth Lagoon announced the end of YL explaining that it came to represent, “a space I no longer inhabit, nor want to inhabit.” Now making music under his personal moniker, Powers’ new album, Mulberry Violenceexplores new ground, fusing gritty electronic landscapes and lyrical references from a historical and religious context. LISTEN HERE
