GRAMMY® nominated recording artist Emily King has unveiled eagerly anticipated new material in the form of new single “Remind Me”. The track was produced by long time musical cohort Jeremy Most, mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Adele, Amy Winehouse, David Bowie), and written by Emily herself. Recorded in upstate New York, “Remind Me” is the first taste from her long awaited new album, due for release on ATO Records in early 2019.
A handful of tour dates for November, including TheApollo Theater in Harlem and the El Rey in Los Angeles, have also been announced – full details below. Posting the track earlier today NPR Music called the track “an irresistible piece of anthemic R&B that captures the retro-cinematic quality of that first drive and the breathless feeling of greeting something new.”
Emily King is an acclaimed artist with pop, indie and soul influences that she hones with carefully crafted compositions. Now returning with a new record, she is ready to take the next step with songs that tell a coming of age story as she moved from her hometown of Manhattan to upstate New York’s Catskill mountains. “Remind Me” follows the critically acclaimed album The Switch (2015) which included the hit “Distance” (more than 13 million streams). Following the album’s release, King performed on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Conan, Prairie Home Companion, and toured with Alabama Shakes. This is her first release with ATO Records.
